B "Ambush" (LL99D)
1: Ambush
2: Elite
3: Kreuzberg

1 MAN, 4 MACHINES - B is the new live Techno project from Bert Libeert of GOOSE. Armed with just two synths and two drum machines B is bringing the rawness and spontaneity of live music back to clubs. His signature sound is an uncompromising mix of hard edged EBM and Old School Techno that still sounds as exciting today as when it first kicked off a musical revolution in the 1980s.
His first EP, "AMBUSH”, will be released on the pioneering Techno/Electro label Lektroluv and wastes no time in setting out its stall. From the minute the needle hits the record ‘Ambush’ goes in hard, jackhammer beats and aggressive synth riffs that will tear the roof off any club.

With ‘Elite’, B drops the tempo in the best Belgian style, grinding out the kind of Industrial sounds that first put the country on the electronic music map. Finally ‘Kreuzberg’ pays homage to the Berlin neighbourhood the EP was recorded in, its distorted acidic blasts and relentless beats the perfect soundtrack to a night out in Europe’s Techno capital.

A respected producer/musician, Bert Libeert is best known for drumming with GOOSE (Skint/!K7/Safari Records) but in recent years has also produced and worked on several other projects including co-writing "You're Mine", 2015’s Gold-selling single from Raving George & Oscar And The Wolf.

Alongside releasing his new EP B is also hosting B - NIGHTS, a series of parties held in out of the way and unusual spots from fairgrounds to swimming pools and galleries. Keep an eye
on his Facebook page for updates.

The artwork is provided by the visual artist Pierre Debusschere, who shot editorials for several leading magazines such as Vogue Homme Japan and Citizen K and also shot 2 videoclips for Beyoncé.

Mumbai Science "Black Hole" (LL97D)
1: Black Hole
2: Black Hole Floorplan Remix

Belgian electronic duo Mumbai Science explores the final frontier with their newest single Black Hole. The release includes the first Floorplan (aka Robert Hood) remix to date.

A year after the release of their widely acclaimed debut album Déjà Vu, Mumbai Science is gearing up to present new music to the world. The single EP, called Black Hole, allows us another sneak peak into the wayward universe of Mumbai Science. A universe where the misfits find solace and love is still free. With grubby basslines, sleazy vocal hooks and playful arpeggios, Black Hole showcases everything that is core to the sound and style of Mumbai Science. “I had this dream where I was on a guided bus trip to outer space with all my buds...”, explains Jonas when asked where they got their inspiration. “…we were singing songs when I noticed my mom forgot to pack my lunch”.

Black Hole comes with a mesmerising Floorplan (aka Robert Hood) remix. Robert Hood needs little introduction, being a founding member of arguably the most important techno act in the world, Underground Resistance and M-Plant label boss. His works paved the way for a wave of stripped-down dancefloor minimalism that directed much of techno's path throughout the late Nineties. His remix of Black Hole deconstructs the original track and rebuilds it in the relentless techno landscape of Floorplan. It perfectly complements the original track, making the Black Hole package complete.

Dr. Lektroluv "Through The Night" (LL98D)
1: Through The Night
2: Through The Night Sharam Jey Remix
3: Through The Night Etnik Remix
4: Belgiant

For over a decade now Dr. Lektroluv has been tending to the health of Belgium’s electronic music scene, the mysterious green masked DJ’s own label introducing the likes of Mumbai Science and The Subs to the world whilst his early ‘00s compilations were pivotal in the global revival and continued evolution of the Electro sound.

Whilst he may be first and foremost a DJ, driven by a passion for unearthing new music and introducing it to tens of thousands around the world the good doctor also has the deft touch of a surgeon in the studio. Now following on from last year’s hit ‘Discothèque’ he returns with ‘Through The Night’, a throbbing mix of Electroclash attitude, Italo Disco style and Techno muscle that supercharges the sound of artists like ADULT. and Legowelt.

Like a fevered neon lit dream ‘Through The Night’ perfectly captures the rush and ultra-vivid un-reality of a peak time dance-floor, and the accompanying video created by acclaimed Dutch projection art studio Mr. Beam brings the track to life in spectacular fashion.

Remixes come from Cologne’s Sharam Jey, who injects the track with a silky Disco sheen and an irresistible bass line, and Hamburg producer Etnik who goes all in with a relentlessly pummeling mix, perfect for smoke filled, strobe lit warehouses.

Completing the EP we have another original track, ‘Belgiant’, a stripped back Techno affair that pays homage to Belgium’s just celebrated hardcore past with it’s tortured synths, hypnotic riffs and pile-driving beats. The Dr. is back and will be making House calls at a club near you soon…

The Neon Judgement "TV Treated (Jimmy Edgar / DJ Hell Remixes)" (LL96D)
1: TV Treated Jimmy Edgar Mix
2: TV Treated DJ Hell Remix

If the saying goes that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, it can certainly be said that remixing may be the sincerest form of musical respect. More than thirty years after The Neon Judgement first released “TV Treated”, the song has reached a truly legendary status. Sadly, one might add, its message is more relevant than ever today: you don’t even need to be a conspiracy theorist to see that the shining eye is inherently evil.

Small wonder, then, that illustrious DJ’s like Helmut Josef Geier aka DJ Hell, the Berlin-based electroclash pioneer, and the multi-talented Jimmy Edgar from Detroit, stateside’s techno capital, were only too happy to add their names to the long list of artists who had previously created remixes of a track that has stood the test of time in defiance of every rule of commerciality.

As such, it’s a fitting introduction to what will follow… Keep your eyes and ears peeled!

"Now you young twerps want a new name for your generation? Probably not, you just want jobs, right?”  - Kurt Vonnegut

Mumbai Science proudly presents their debut album “Déjà Vu”. “Déjà Vu” takes you on a trip to a grim future, where partying is reduced to handing out business cards and personal trainers are the new superstars. Although dealing with heavy themes such as moral decline and corporate totalitarianism, Maarten Elen & Jonas Kiesekoms bring their message with their usual quirky panache.

The Belgian duo, mostly known for their club hits ‘Ancova’, ‘Gold’ and ‘Lotus’, have been touring restlessly the past years, reaching some of the coolest and most respected venues and festivals in the world. From Fuse in Belgium to Space in Ibiza. From Loft in Barcelona to Womb in Tokyo. With their music widely supported by artists around the globe (from 2 many dj’s and Erol Alkan to Boys Noize, Tiga and beyond), the sounds of their beloved craft have reached across the world. Recently they conquered American hearts as well with shows at EDC in Las Vegas, U Street Music Hall in Washington DC and various HARD events.

Déjà Vu, the album, features collaborations with some of the finest talents of our generation. DJ Spank-Spank from the legendary acid house formation Phuture delivers a mesmerizing vocal for “King Of The Top Floor”, while cult superstar Peaches does not – and never will - shy away from controversy on “Whistleblower”. Up-and-coming Belgian vocalist Gustaph (singer in the NY house collective Hercules and Love Affair) lends his golden voice on “The Call”, and Mixhell fires up their thunder drums on “Vegas”.

The choice of guests on “Déjà Vu” wonderfully reflects the musical pilgrimage Mumbai Science undertook in the making of this album. Tapping deep into their musical heritage, Mumbai Science bring a piece of work that reflects their own, wayward view on contemporary dance music. Rough and dirty, but at the same time playful and quirky, without making any compromises on the artistic level. Instead Mumbai Science took the path less traveled and ended up at an uncharted place that somehow feels right at home

Mumbai Science’s debut album “Déjà Vu” will be out June 16th on Lektroluv Records. From techno-with-an-attitude, over faux-pas electro-clash to straight-up Belgian rave. Expect a wonderful journey through the soundscapes of Mumbai Science.

MUMBAI SCIENCE  proudly presents “DÉJÀ VU”, the first single of their same-titled debut album. “Déjà Vu” takes you on a trip to a grim future, were partying is reduced to handing out business cards and personal trainers are the new superstars.

“No one bothers, no one moves, I’ve seen it all there’s nothing new”.

Tapping deep into their musical heritage, Mumbai Science bring a piece of work that reflects their own, wayward view on contemporary dance music. Rough and dirty, but at the same time playful and quirky, without making any compromises on the artistic level. Instead Mumbai Science took the path less traveled and ended up at an uncharted place that somehow feels right at home.

“Avant-garde, no self-control. Business cards and alcohol”

The single comes with remixes from LOOPS OF FURY and BS1. While the former delivers a high voltage festival take on the original track, the latter transforms it into a je-m’-en-fous basement techno track. With both of them boldly exploring different corners of the electronic dance spectrum, the “Déjà Vu” package feels more than complete.

Mumbai Science’s debut album “Déjà Vu” will be out in JUNE 2014 on LEKTROLUV and features collaborations with Peaches, Mixhell, Gustaph, and more. The Subs "Hologram" (LLCD13D)

5: Concorde
6: Fly
7: Cling To Love
8: The Hand
9: Under My Skin
10: The Bottle
11: Hologram
12: Exit The Hologram

How to survive in the world of club music, with all its niches and subcultures and its trends changing so rapidly? Go underground, the avant-garde way? Go mad and stop making music all together? Jump ship constantly? Or try to make something more universal and timeless? For their third full-length release, Belgian dance act The Subs decided to make a pop album with heartfelt soul, filmic French retrofuturism and crisp beats. ‘Hologram’ is an album that displays many moods and styles and sees The Subs working together with both renowned international vocalists and underground singers and rappers: Colonel Abrams, Selah Sue, Jean-Pierre Castaldi, Jay Brown and Danny Greene.

With two albums under their belt, Jeroen De Pessemier (David Newtron) and Wiebe Loccufier (DJ Tonic) have been touring around the world for five years - London, Barcelona or Sydney, Tomorrowland, Bestival, Lowlands, Les Eurockéennes – you name it. Some major changes took place within the band over the past years. In 2012, songwriter/frontman Jeroen De Pessemier moved to London, absorbing new musical influences there like the UK garage and house revival. After the release of their second album ‘Decontrol’, Wiebe Loccufier started producing beats and evolved from dj into producer. Finally, by recruiting Hadrien Lavogez, The Subs got themselves a genuine multi-instrumentalist with an incredible knack for melody. This whole new dynamic pushed The Subs towards a more pop-based sound for ‘Hologram’.

‘Trapped’ is a sunshine-fuelled, epic rendition of the 1985 street-smart R&B hit by Colonel Abrams. A rolling bassline and melodic pads set the tone underneath the powerful and infectious vocal by Colonel Abrams. Definite feel good anthem! The Subs invited the legendary American singer to Belgium to re-record his vocals. Colonel Abrams’s visit to Belgium was an adventure. Before the legend wanted to sing any note, he needed a haircut and a stylist. Eventually it took 3 days and a shipment of Baileys to lay down the vocals. And he left The Subs with some good stories. One evening during dinner, Colonel Abrams tried to convince them of the fact that he made the first house record: ‘Release the Tension’, a track from 1984 that he recorded with Boyd Jarvis. We don’t know if that's actually true, but it’s a damn good track. And a bold statement!

Another international icon who paid a visit to the Subs-studio is French actor Jean-Pierre Castaldi: one might know this veteran of cinéma from the ‘Astérix’-movies. Castaldi is the deep warm voice that you hear on ‘Concorde’, an upbeat retrofuturistic track that is both an ode to the supersonic wonder of 20th century technology and a love song. Jeroen: ‘Jean-Pierre was an actor, more than a singer, in our studio: he wanted to know precisely what we wanted - we were his ‘directors’. And his rider demanded that we had a bottle of quality bourbon whisky in the studio too (laughs).’

Deep emotions are laid bare in the bouncy ‘Live in a Dream’ (Selah Sue) and the dreamy triphoppy ‘Fly’ (London-based Jay Brown). Jay Brown is actually VV Brown’s talented younger sister: a singer-songwriter that Jeroen discovered during an open mic night in London. Brown can also be heard in the tracks ‘27’, ‘Under My Skin’, ‘Cling To Love’, ‘The Hand’ and ‘Hologram’. Jeroen: ‘As soon as I stumbled into that pub and saw Jay play her songs on acoustic guitar, I was infatuated with her voice and songs. We used some of her demos on this record and wrote some new songs with her as well.’ Wiebe: ‘With three band members living in different cities, different countries even, this whole album was an email affair: I sent my beats to Jeroen en Hadrien, whose song craft turned them into full-bodied tracks. I never even met Jay before the album was finished! But somehow, that long-distance relationship worked for us.’

It worked indeed, as ‘Hologram’ is an album on which The Subs explore both a playfulness and a vulnerability that is new to them. This album is still brimming with energy, but the dark dance-punk of the previous record has been traded for a much more soulful vibe.
Wiebe ‘We’ve done five years of very loud music and very specific, really intense live performances: it was time for something else. After our last gigs, I saw it in Jeroen’s eyes: fear of routine. If there’s one thing Jeroen’s not very good at, it’s faking something (laughs).’
Jeroen ‘I think it’s only a logical progression: paying more attention to songwriting, melodies, feelings and lyrics. Although there was no concept at all when we started recording a year ago. We didn’t follow any trend.’
‘Wiebe ‘From hiphop to UK house, we absorbed a lot of influences, but this is still Subs-music. We took our time, trusted our gut instinct.’
Jeroen ‘That’s why we called the album ‘Hologram’: we like to think of songs as dreams, subliminal ideas, revelations almost.’

No more wild nights for The Subs? Think again. ‘The Bottle’ features a monologue by Danny Greene - an underground grime artist Jeroen bumped into in London - that is philosophical, naïve, arrogant, hilarious and funky at the same time. Danny’s soliloquy catapults you right into that afterparty at 7.00 AM, when the hazy dreamy morning light is breaking through the window and the madness of the night is still tangible.

‘Hologram’ was conceived on an equally intriguing intersection: it’s The Subs most accessible and experimental record to date.

After the banging ‘Phosphenes’ and ‘Titan’ EP’s, Jägerverb is now back on Lektroluv to present for your aural pleasure the trio of sonic delights that is the Septimus EP.

Conceived at a carnival in central São Paulo, Jägerverb was exposed to the infectious grooves of rhythm and melody from the earliest stages of his foetal development. However, the child was not born on Brazilian soil. Instead, Jägerverb entered into the isolated civilisation of an unchartered island some distance from the North-West coast of France. Jägerverb soon became disillusioned by his company and surroundings after hearing rumours that the locals frequented bars and clubs offering exclusively commercial dance and drum and bass. But, by some fortunate coincidence, he became acquainted with a band of rebels dedicated to the distribution of house and techno .mp3's illegally imported from overseas. Jägerverb was educated by the rebels on the rich abundance of music available beyond the island’s shores. He was taught of bizarre foreign instruments known as ‘computers’ and ‘synthesisers’, the operation of which would allow him to mimic the musical grooves he so adored. And so Jägerverb plotted his mission to escape the entrapment of the island. Armed with a laptop and a bottle of elk blood infused liqueur, Jägerverb set to work creating grooves of his own.

‘Brocken Spectre’ was already road tested by Daniel Avery in his Boiler Room TV mix. Do not sleep on this.

This ‘Clown In My Kitchen’ EP is now his 6th release on Lektroluv and we're very proud to have Modek back on board. The least you can say is that it doesn’t sound like so many other releases, Modek has his own sound and doesn’t compromise with this EP. Both the title track and ‘Amp Up’ have this great use of voices. The Subs "Collaborations 2/2" (LL83D)
1: Body Memory
2: Outta Your Head
3: Electric Bodies

‘We should really work together one day.’ There’s no bigger cliché to be heard in backstage areas, that mythical transit zone where producers and deejays meet, chat and then hop on their tour buses again. Belgian dance-act The Subs heroically plotted collaborations with fellow musicians in various dressing rooms across the globe. What is truly heroic is that in their case, those nightly encounters led up to actual music, and some damn fine music too.
‘Collaborations’ is a double EP on which The Subs joined forces with both iconic names and underground producers.
A month after the release of the first volume, The Subs present the second part of ‘Collaborations’. Part 1/2 consisted of tracks with Etienne de Crécy, John Roman, Shinichi Osawa and Hoshina Anniversary.

The sequel ‘Collaborations 2/2’ kicks off with ‘Body Memory’, a neo-French touch classic recorded with Alex Gopher. Gopher crossed paths with The Subs before , when he remixed the heavy ‘My Punk’ in 2009. His most recent appearance on Lektroluv dates back to last year, when he remixed Mumbai Science’s ‘Lotus’.
On so many occasions, The Subs have shared a bill with the mighty Zombie Nation, the band of Florian Senfter aka John Starlight. The forceful, military rhythm of ‘Outta Your Head’ is a shameless attack on the midriff.
The young  up-and-coming Belgian producer Blatan  collaborates on the playful EP closer ‘Electric Bodies’.

A new album is planned for 2014. With this EP however, The Subs confirm their firm roots in the club scene.

The Subs "Collaborations 1/2" (LL82D)
1: The Moment To Give
2: The Mouth
3: Demon
4: French Soda

‘We should really work together one day.’ There’s no bigger cliché to be heard in backstage areas, that mythical transit zone where producers and deejays meet, chat and then hop on their tour buses again. Belgian dance-act The Subs heroically plotted collaborations with fellow musicians in various dressing rooms across the globe. What is truly heroic is that in their case, those nightly encounters led up to actual music, and some damn fine music too.
‘Collaborations’ is a double EP on which The Subs joined forces with both iconic names and underground producers.
Part 1 is an EP celebrating their on-going love affair with pure techno - for deejays, clubbers and nighthawks to devour.

The pulsating, sexy ‘The Moment to Give’ is a collaboration with French Touch-legend Etienne de Crécy. The French Touch-movement of the nineties has been incredibly important for The Subs. He’s also not a stranger to the Lektroluv catalogue remixing last years ‘Cycle’ by Boris Dlugosch. The vocals on ‘The Moment to Give’ – and every other track on the EP – are Jeroen’s.
Jack that body with ‘ The Mouth’, a banger for which The Subs sought out John Roman, who impressed many with ‘Infrared EP’, his 2012 debut on Lektroluv.
The techno beat goes on with the sinister ‘Demon’, a collaboration with Shinichi Osawa, the acclaimed Japanese DJ with whom The Subs already recorded ‘Bring Back That Noise’ in 2010. Watch out for a complete solo EP by Mr. Osawa on Lektroluv later on this year.
Closing the EP with a bang, The Subs and Hoshina Anniversary collaborate on the repetitive, robotic ‘French Soda’.

A new album is planned for 2014. With this EP however, The Subs confirm their firm roots in the club scene.

Modek "Haunt EP" (LL81D)
1: Haunt
2: Walk With Me
3: I Don't Like You
4: Backyard Cathedral

Modek has been busier than ever since the release of his ‘Up With Me’ EP on Lektroluv - that got played by everyone from Digitalism over Cassius to TAI.
Apart from touring like a madman he did remixes for Etienne De Crecy, Porter Robinson & Zombie Nation, and has more in the pipeline!

This ‘Haunt’ EP is now his 5th release on Lektroluv and we're very proud to have Modek back on board. The least you can say is that it doesn’t sound like so many other releases, Modek has his own sound and doesn’t compromise with this EP. Both the title track (brilliant bassline) and ‘Walk With Me’ (epic break) have this great use of (haunting) voices. ‘I Don’t Like You’ probably sounds most like the Modek you’ve learned to love: banging. ‘Backyard Cathedral’ closes down the EP in oldschool electro fashion. Wicked!

Mumbai Science "1975 EP" (LL80D)
1: 1975
2: Models

Mumbai Science presents their latest work, the ‘1975 EP’. Two no-nonsense club-tracks, inspired by dirty warehouse techno but cheerfully colored with weird glitchy synths and catchy vocal snippets. The title track ‘1975’ features a deep male voice carelessly asking the crowd “So, What do you wanna do”. The answer is self-evident: "Party all night long and forget about our boyfriends!"

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But not when we’re talking about supermodels. The second track, ‘Models’, follows the same recipe as ‘1975’: overdriven warehouse techno extravagance with the lyrics paying tribute to Mumbai Science’s favorite… models. Some will say it’s a blatant rip-off of Teachers from Daft Punk, others will call it a homage. But does Mumbai science even care? Kiesekoms explains: “I don’t know man, we just made this track on one of those drunk afternoons. Is it getting released? Really? Well, I just hope we won’t get beat up by the French mafia again.”

Jägerverb "Titan EP" (LL79D)
1: Titan
2: Daisy Dukes
3: Betamax

After the banger 'St. Elmo's Fire' on the Phosphenes EP, Jägerverb is now back on Lektroluv to present for your aural pleasure the trio of sonic delights that is the Titan EP!

Mumbai Science "Impact" (LL76D)
1: Impact
2: Impact The Advent & Industrialyzer 'Music & Machine' Remix
3: Impact John Roman Remix

Brace for Impact!

January 14th marks the release of a new ‘Mumbai Science’ single EP, called ‘Impact’. The 9th EP already by the Belgian electronic duo, praised for their ‘faux pas’ techno, a fusion of futuristic outer-space melodies and post mortem 909 grooves. This time, the guys pitch their work as ‘... a dark, apocalyptic journey, echoing themes of inner conflict, moral tribulation and regret.’ Sounds promising!

The original track on the EP is called ‘Impact’. When listening to the music, one cannot escape the feeling that the harsh Belgian conditions of political conflict tainted the art. Albeit very heavy to the heart, the original track delivers on its promise in style. ‘Impact’ is a powerful track, which definitely lives up to its name.

On remix duty is John Roman, the Toronto based ‘wunderkind’ whose track ‘Petrified’ was proclaimed as tune of last summer by Tiga, Brodinski and other sophisticated people who know their shit. John accomplishes the seemingly impossible by transforming the heaviness of ‘Impact’ into his own cutting edge tribal-techno sound. Perfect for those who seek the ‘chic’ in ‘musique’.

The other remix is delivered by proper legends Cisco Ferreira and Ricardo Rodriguez, better known as ‘The Advent & Industrialyzer’. Cisco - ‘The Advent’ - stood at the cradle of Techno back 20 years ago and keeps playing an important role throughout its history. Together with Ricardo - ‘Industrialyzer’ -  they are renowned for their pursuit to push boundaries. The remix for ‘Impact’ shows their innovative look on Techno, blending the relentless arpeggiators of the original with a futuristic, machinelike timbre.

The ‘Impact EP’ showcases a broad spectrum of contemporary techno music. From the festival energy of Mumbai Science's original track, over the sleazy afterclub vibe of John Roman's version to the 'Kraftwerkian' interpretation of The Advent & Industrialyzer. The EP will be out on the 14th of January on Lektroluv records.

Mumbai Science "Unite" (LL74D)
1: Unite
2: Unite Shinichi Osawa Remix
3: Lotus Alex Gopher Remix

It’s only been two years since Mumbai Science appeared on the music radar but they’ve managed to leave an unquestionable impression. Their tracks Ancova, Gold and Lotus got the support from all the big shots such as Boys Noize, Tiga and Brodinski, sending them on a surge to the EDM top ranks. The 2012 release of ‘The Unified Theory Trilogy’ confirmed their musical prowess and now they return to the plate with ‘Unite’, a new beat inspired record.

Touring around the world from Japan to Berlin to the USA, Mumbai Science got more in touch with the history that subsides in the darkest corners of the scene. Their new EP reflects a small gritty club where you have to rely on your ears to navigate. Funky bouncing synths meet a typical Mumbai bass. Shinichi Osawa delivers with a blazing remix, which adds a little more spice to the original!

Last but not least on this release is a remix from Alex Gopher of one of their classic tracks, ‘Lotus’. The unquestionable energy from the original track combined with Gopher's subtlety results in a track, which is impossible not to dance to.

Derived from the Sino-Japanese word for "skill" or "talent", Nô (or Noh) theater is a major form of classical Japanese musical drama that has been performed since the 14th century. Many characters are masked, with men playing male and female roles.  After the release of his Snake EP last year, he got quickly supported by the most important French magazines, BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank and major booking agency ITB. John Roman "Infrared EP" (LL66D)
1: Infrared
2: Down (The Drain)

To try to label John Roman is to date yourself – the reclusive producer/DJ whose appetite for innovative music is exceeded only by his obsession for creating it. At 22, his original tracks “Sala” and “Petrified” have already graced Laidback Luke’s BBC Radio1 Essential Mix and Brodinski’s Fabriclive60 CD, respectively. With additional supporters ranging from Riton, Sinden, Fake Blood, Harvard Bass and even Skrillex, its hard to imagine a sound so unique and widely appealing if you haven’t heard it already. Raw, rhythmic, sample-heavy and instantly danceable – Roman’s music cuts straight to the bodies on the dancefloor and the mind of the listener. At once a rejection of the mainstream’s neon hedonism and the elitist underground’s critical constraints, Roman channels the angst and aggression of youth with the sophisticated wisdom of a veteran househead. It’s this rare combination that’s earned him official remixes for Crookers, Sinden, Defected - and of course also Sound Of Stereo (Quartz, from the Mineral EP). We’re very happy to be able to present a full EP from him now on Lektroluv. With such an amazing sound, this guy is gonna be big in no time, mark our words!!

Mumbai Science "Unified Theory Part 3" (LL64D)
1: Alchemy
2: Chemistry

Star wars, the Godfather and Jurassic Park. The ever flowing river of time teaches us that all good things come in threes.

It’s true that Mumbai Science have always been marketing geniuses, but this time they might have hit the jackpot. Their masterplan: “Over the coming months, we’ll release three EP’s. One release a month”. That’s right, the duo plans to release not one, not two, but three original EP’s. hence: trilogy! (although the guys prefer to call it their ‘triumvirate’). Pretentious you say? We call it ambitious.

The music? Well, why wont we let our Mad Men do the pitch themselves: “With this trilogy, we feel like we experimented with genres like New Beat, Future Techno, Acid and Electro... In a way, we tried to reinterpret and contemporize everything we liked from our youth... Well, we just made something we think is quite cool”. And there’s that!

Part 3

Make no mistakes people, this is the last chapter! All good things come to an end. Perfect opportunity to introduce you to Shiva, the god of destruction! ... No, no, don’t get us wrong. Shiva has good intentions, for a purifying destruction opens the path to a new creation, to new opportunities of beauty and amazement! All things must end to make place for even better things!

The last chapter of this trilogy features two tracks: “Alchemy” and “Chemistry”. “Alchemy” starts off with a moody blend of house and techno, before it gets spiced up by some in-your-face electronic percussion. “Chemistry” is a perfect example of how one sample can carry a track and get a crowd in a natural high. Simple, but effective!

Mumbai Science is mostly known for their club hits ‘Ancova’, ‘Gold’ and ‘Lotus’, which are still widely supported by artists around the globe (from 2 many dj’s, Crookers and Erol Alkan to Boys Noize, Tiga and beyond). Apart from their original work, Mumbai Science is building an impressive list of remixes. To date, the duo finished remixes for Mixhell (Boysnoize Records), Goose (!K7), Crookers (Southern Fried), Alex Gopher (Go 4 Music), Shameboy (East), Highbloo (Lektroluv) and Jaymo & Andy George (Moda Music). Now, they present their latest work on Lektroluv Records: ‘The Unified Theory pt1, pt2 and pt3’.

Star wars, the Godfather and (cough) Jurassic Park. The ever flowing river of time teaches us that all good things come in threes.
It’s true that Mumbai Science have always been marketing geniuses, but this time they might have hit the jackpot. Their masterplan: “Over the coming months, we’ll release three EP’s. One release a month, starting from January 9th”. That’s right, the duo plans to release not one, not two, but three original EP’s. hence: trilogy! In a way, we tried to reinterpret and contemporize everything we liked from our youth... Well, we just made something we think is quite cool”. And there’s that!

Part 2

The second chapter of a trilogy is where most of the story happens. Also, the second part is often the hardest. It is trapped between the beginning and the end and needs to keep the story going. Its goal is to hold the tension. Kind of what Vishnu, the second God of creation, does. Vishnu’s task is to preserve and sustain the universe. Vishnu is master of past, present and future.
Part 2 consists of two tracks. The first one, “Reality”, hits the floor with a swift, hasty groove and an unstoppable bassline. “Reality” hits you hard bro! The second track, “Transcendence”, features a monologue of LSD guru Timothy Leary. The track’s psychedelic sound reminds of early 90s club music. Are you ready to die and be reborn?

Mumbai Science is mostly known for their club hits ‘Ancova’, ‘Gold’ and ‘Lotus’, which are still widely supported by artists around the globe (from 2 many dj’s, Crookers and Erol Alkan to Boys Noize, Tiga and beyond). Modek "Willow / Dust" (LL61D)
1: Willow
2: Dust

Starting off with little knowledge of electronical genres, Modek soon realised just how complex it was to make those tracks that made dance halls blow apart. Very soon, he plunged himself into the electronic scene and became a huge fan of producers and DJs such as SebastiAn, Justice, Erol Alkan, Boys Noize, etc.
Some time and a bunch of productions later, his track Boomcrack was picked up by national radiostation Studio Brussel. Soon after that, Modek remixed the Belgian rave classic Anasthasia by T99 and people started to get to know him and his dirty sound. This track also made it to Studio Brussel while Boomcrack went overseas, straight to Jaymo & Andy George’s BBC Radio One show.
In 2009, Modek’s hard hitting Hiroshima won the Belgian National producers contest in the Electro/fidget genre. By then he’d also done a bunch of remixes for several labels (Monkey See Monkey Do, Sputnik/PIAS, G Point Muzik, Believe Electro) and had released his Kamikaze EP on Keatchen Records.
Today, Modek’s tracks are being picked up and supported by a lot of Djs all around the world. With releases on respected labels such as Mental Groove and Dim Mak, he keeps growing and expanding his fan base and is ready to take over Europe and the world!
This ‘Willow/Dust’ EP is his debut on Lektroluv and we’re very proud to have Modek on board! Listen to ‘Willow’ and you’ll realise that the word “epic” just got redefined..

Part 1

Every trilogy starts with the beginning, so what better way to start off than to introduce you to the first god of creation, Brahma. Brahma has four faces and four arms, is born in the lotus flower and is creator of this material universe. Also, at one point, Brahma meditated for 290 million years. Exactly how long it took Mumbai Science to make this first part.

Part 1 consists of two tracks. With “Researchers”, Mumbai Science experiments with chopped up vocals and 80s strings, combining them with their trademark sound. The second track, “Commandments”, is slower and strikes with its obscure, lingering bassline. Perfect for the darker corners of the club!

Since their eponymous debut album Subculture landed at the dusk of 2008, The Subs have………

Played more than 160 shows, travelled to 14 countries, used 12 different airline companies, 2 tour buses and 1 private jet. Between the three of them, they’ve mailed about 250 post cards and drank about 80 bottles of vodka. On the road, they’ve lost 5 iPhone adapters and 6 pairs of earplugs. 480 T-shirts were sold and they’ve counted at least 12 stage invasions and 13 scuffles with venue security. The band remembers 10 speeding tickets and were questioned by the police at least 3 times. They’ve made 6 music video’s, launched 1 blog and recorded 3 videocasts. Their audience took home 3 shoes and ripped 2 pairs of trousers from Papillon’s body, who did vomit on stage once.
7 live shows ended with a broken wireless microphone and 2 AX-7 keytars got smashed up. A total of 68 rolls of Gaffer tape were used, about 100 glitter balls were ‘customised’, more than 70 interviews were given and their tunes featured on 78 compilations. About half of the past 730 days they’ve spent inside a studio, 45 demo’s were made and 21 different versions of new artwork got rejected. About 28 hours were spent discussing the definitive, 11 songs counting track list… but it’s here, the second album by The Subs: Decontrol.

A lot has happened to the crew from Ghent, Belgium, since their electroravepunk-whatsinaname powered train started rolling: they celebrated 10 years of Fabric with the give-away Mitsubitchi track, for instance. But also released their acclaimed Vomit In Style EP, featuring stellar remixes from Mixhell, Don Rimini and Les Petits Pilous. Together with the latter, The Subs hooked up for the release of a banging double biller, My Body Is Gonna Remember/Rototom.
But stressed about the most important evolution, the band agree unanimously: their maturation into a fully fledged, all hands on deck live band. “It’s our fingerprint”, the band says. “Our ticket to open doors and roads. Gone are the freshmen days of ‘two CD-J’s and a microphone’, travelling from one church tower to the next. With this live setting, we can travel anywhere in the world and show the people what the heart, mind, arms and legs of The Subs truly are.”.

Are the new tunes that make up Decontrol the fall-out of The Subs’ live incarnation? “Not exactly”, stresses Papillon. “Playing a live show is not the same as recording an album. They are two different worlds. Electronic music doesn’t evolve from four guys jamming together in a shed, it’s the fruit of many dark hours sitting behind keyboards and computers”, the singer/producer/jumping jack flash adds laughingly.
All the new tracks have been road tested though. Sometimes the band stretched soundchecks into a three hour tweaking session, before unleashing new bits and pieces to a live audience later the same evening. There’s been a lot of (soul) searching, trying to find the right tone and feeling of the new album, for which Papillon claims that, besides a new found love, chaos was the main inspiration: “All creativity is born out of chaos. When you allow yourself to give up control, unexpected, beautiful things happen.” Creativity from chaos; it almost echo’s Malcolm McClaren’s famous ‘cash from chaos’ manifesto - “Well, we don’t know about the cash, but there’s always plenty of chaos surrounding The Subs”, the band agree on, grinningly. And this: “Decontrol is much less a ‘fuck you’ album than Subculture, and more an ‘I’d like to fuck you’ album.”.

A prime example of the rewarding, creative chaos surrounding The Subs is the smash single The Pope Of Dope, cooked up with the notorious DJ-squad PartyHarders. Papillon explains: “They’re such fun guys to hang out with, we wanted to collaborate on something sooner or later.” It turned out to be sooner than later, when one night, the boys started fidgeting with a stray disco sample and PartyHarders chief Colonel performed an on the spot recording of his mischievous vocal. During the summer of 2010, the result went from underground oddity to big room carpet bomb and festival favourite in no time, taking everyone, all three Subs included, by surprise.
The dopey pope is absent on Decontrol, but he gave his blessing to the too cool-for-old school house cut Don’t Stop, the hyperactive rave jam that is The Hype, the hard hitting techno beats of The Visible Man and the French movie soundtrack-inspired Hannibal (And The Battle Of Zama). There’s even some profound philosophies hidden inside Decontrol – the universally appealing club anthem The Face Of The Planet, for instance, or Lemonade, inspired by a quote from American skater/artist Ed Templeton: ‘if life gives you lemons, make lemonade’.

“We make music for the shuffle generation”, concludes Papillon. “Decontrol covers a lot of bases, but at the same time it definitely serves as a whole. We’ve become more positive thinking the past few years, I can't wait to infect our audience with that sensation.”

The Subs are Jeroen De Pessemier aka Papillon, Wiebe Loccufier aka DJ Tonic and Luca Di Ferdinando aka Highbloo.

Ever since then, he has been working on his productions; a sweet mix between midget, dirty dutch and minimal techno. His tracks quickly caught the attention of the blogs and got DJ support from the likes of Crookers, Brodinski, LA Riots, Don Rimini... And Dr. Lektroluv, who signed him to his label for the release of his first two EP’s ‘My Sitar’ and ‘Fakirology’. The Subs "Vomit In Style Remixes" (LL33D)
1: Vomit In Style Mixhell Remix
2: Heat Les Petits Pilous Remix
3: Vomit In Style Don Rimini Chi Town Remix
4: Vomit In Style VNNR Remix
5: Bang Bang Bang Dub Mix

Of course we think this remix EP is amazing. Of course we think it contains bangers. Of course blablabla ... let's just cut that crap ... Mixhell, Les Petits Pilous, Don Rimini and VNNR all simply puked out some remixes of The Subs Vomit in Style EP.

Mixhell: booty, acid, new old school remix from the most charming couple in the electro scene. Igor, we love it when you get behind that drum and sex up the crowd while Laima is shakin' and teasin' behind the decks. Thank you so much for this phat and hot remix.

Les Petits Pilous: NU techno screamin' bassline driven remix by Boys Noize's youngest. Anthony, the silent force, and Jean Pat, the funny acid smiley, upcoming French talent. We love you!

Don Rimini: an eccentric but effective and groovy remix. Techno-ish sounds but booty from start to end. We love that phat and fluffy bass sound so much !!! The new French touch, hahaha. Xavier is such a polite and easy going guy but once he gets on stage, he transforms into this visceral energy puking DJ from which the love for music streams into the audience !

VNNR: new talent from ever ravin' Belgium, this dirty punky remix brings homage to Iggy Pop from who the lyrics were borrowed anyway. "So i did it somethin' like this: aaaahhh...."

Finally, as a digital treat we added a Dub mix of 'Bang Bang Bang' for those who are not that much into vocals.

We love you all !!!

With shameless Belgian attitude, they (ab)use melodies, vocals, choirs, analogue and digital filth and real instruments to create their own typical punky sound.

*** "Mightyfools Remix" and "Nic Sarno Retrix" are digital only tracks! ***

Untill last year "Sound" and "Stereo" were just two words that popped up every once in a while in your hifi-installation's manual. In the beginning of 2008 those two words stopped being just random: "Sound Of Stereo" saw the light of day. In only a few months time they conquered the hearts of music lovers all over the world. The Belgian scene also responded really well to their presence and they were noticed rather fast by the famous Lektroluv label.
In november their first EP came out and had massive response in Belgium and abroad. One of the singles on that EP – Supah Dupah – is said to be played over 100 times each weekend in Belgium alone . A follow-up  is nothing more than a logic continuation of this succes. The new single " Heads Up! " is already being tracklisted by the likes of Crookers and Bloody Beetroots.
Bloody Beetroots liked the track so much that they decided to make a remix of it, as well as DJ Manaia, a Portuguese wonderboy from the Kuduro-surroundings of Buraka Som Sistema.
At the end of February the new EP will be presented at Culture Club Ghent, one of Belgium's most legendery clubs, where international bigshots such as 2 many dj's and The Glimmers had a residency.
So get your rocks off, your heads up and enjoy the Sound Of Stereo!

Sound Of Stereo "Zoopah Dupah EP" (LL17D)
1: Evil Panda
2: Parrot Attack
3: Supah Dupah

Sound Of Stereo is Jochen Sablon and Vincent De Boeck. They met about a year ago on the internet. Though it wasn't a datingsite on which they met, they hooked up pretty fast and started producing and deejaying together. And with success: Their first single "Nic Nag" was picked up by MTV, that used it for a televisioncommercial. After MTV, also Belgium's national radiostation Studio Brussels discovered the magic duo and decided to play their songs in heavy rotation on some of their best shows such as Switch, Mish Mash, Volt and The Maxx.

Next to the (inter)national media, also a lot of (inter)national deejays discovered Sound Of Stereo: They are tracklisted and loudly supported by Crookers, Bloody Beetroots, Dr. Lektroluv, Lee Mortimer, Jokers Of The Scene, The Subs, PartyhardERS and many others. After playing in every fancy club and party in Belgium, they are about to take over France, Portugal, Italy and the rest of Europe. Sound Of Stereo's new Zoopah Doopah release will contain three original tracks and is due for release mid november on Lektroluv records. Keep your ears open for the next big Belgian thing!

Ampersand "Fake Motherfuckerz" (LL14D)
1: Fake Motherfuckerz
2: Her favourite hymn
3: Touring

Ampersand is the German duo consisting of DJ Hade and Brian Damage. They went to school together without knowing, and only met much later through a common friend. They noticed they both made the same music and decided to join forces. The duo exists for about a year now and celebrates this with their debut release on Lektroluv. 'Fake Motherfuckerz' is one of the bombs on Dr. Lektroluv's new mix-cd 'Live At Pukkelpop 2008'. Definitely not for pussies...or fake motherfuckerz!

The Subs "Subculture" (LLCD5D)
1: Music Is The New Religion Album Version
2: Kiss My Trance Album Version
3: Papillon Album Version
4: My Punk
5: Albatross
6: In Cold Blood
7: Breathe
8: Fuck That Shit Album Version
9: From Dusk Till Dawn Album Version

Worldwide release of 'Subculture’, the debut album from Belgium electronic upstarts The Subs. You could be easily forgiven for thinking that with a name like that, this three piece are a classic punk band. Well if punk means tearing up the rule book then to some degree The Subs are punk and if anything rambunctious. That's the least you can say about these beat mavericks. Having already released a couple of underground dance singles like 'You Make Me Spill', 'Fuck That Shit', 'Substracktion' they hit it dancefloor gold in 2008, with 'Kiss My Trance', a punktrance-juggernaut of a hit single which hit the top 20 national singles chart in Belgium.

The track started off as a joke, the band wanted to see how far they could push the limits of the trance-genre and get away with it. A true jack-in-the-box, 'Kiss My Trance' turned out to be a massive cross-over success: in genuine guerilla-style peaking in both commercial charts and DJ lists from the likes of Boys Noize, Fake Blood, Brodinski, Simian Mobile Disco, A-Trak, T. Raumschmiere, Philippe Zdar, Alex Gopher, Laurent Garnier and uh... even the world’s number one DJ!

The Subs are Jeroen De Pessemier aka Papillon (singer/producer), Wiebe Loccufier aka Tonic (half of DJ duo Starski & Tonic, heirs to the Culture Club-throne, as they took over the residency spot at the infamous Ghent club from 2 ManyDJs and The Glimmers) and Stefan Bracke aka l’entrepreneur (splits his time between deejaying with The Subs and fronting his rave-rock band Foxylane).

Over the last year The Subs have enthralled audiences with a live show comprising of a unique set up; 3 men with a laboratory of decks, synths, effects and a microphone. No hiding behind laptops –andwith their raving frontman, The Subs take the sweaty punktrashfeel to the dance stage - they work those machines! With gigs at Dour Festival (B), Pukkelpop (B), Social Club (Paris), Razzmatazz (Barcelona), Fabric (LDN) and Club Low (Madrid) having secured the band's live reputation and remixes for the likes of Telex, Sharam Jey, Alex Gopher, Plump DJs, The Lotterboys and dEUS cementing their studio prowess we now have The Subs dropping their hotly anticipated debut album.

The Subs are not your average 'let's mess around with some analogue machines' band. They fought with the machines until a consistent album, a true body of work, came about. Papillon being the songwriter-half (brought up on landmark nineties dance-albums from the likes of Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers and Underworld) and Tonic being the DJ/songwriter with a passion for brand new underground releases and innovative sounds, The Subs had made an album with songs lurking underneath the sounds. (There's even a mellotron on the album - the retrofuturistic instrument the Beatles used on 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds'!)

'Subculture’ is a dance album that you can listen to in your car. In your living room. In your bedroom. Anywhere. The mood is intense and brooding. Featuring the singles ‘Fuck That Shit’, ‘Papillon’ and the massive ‘Kiss My Trance’, it's a down-right dirty stunner with both gripping euphoric peaks and melancholy riddled melodic moments. That's how we like our punks.

Williams "Poltergeist" (LL12D)
1: Poltergeist
2: Poltergeist Voltique Remix

After the previous release from The Subs, its exciting to discover that the label has a broad spectrum of signing's and sounds. The Subs release was a full on in your face electro monster, but today we bring you something completely different from the lad born on the Isle of Skye.... Williams.

Having grown up with Skye's other famous son Mylo, it was performing on tour, playing keyboards in his band that William Threlfall first made his mark on the worlds music scene. His foray into production was an instant success. His amalgamation of influences, from deep techno to jackin Chicago House makes for some of the most forward thinking and exciting dance music of today.
Highly respected Berlin imprint Get Physical shot Williams into the consciousness of the DJ world. His 'Piccadilly Circuits' release found support from the likes of Richie Hawtin and MANDY and lead to more releases on the label.
Remixes came thick and fast and his reworkings of The Knife, Moby and Robyn opened up another avenue for him into the mainstream. Still not content, he launched his own label 'Love Triangle'. His singles 'The Shivering' and 'Love on a Real Train' have been huge hits for the label and have elevated it into one of Britains finest underground exports.

Today we bring you 'Poltergeist' his new production for Lektroluv. A very 'Get Physical' sounding release. With its warm synths, bassline and lovely melody its a sure fire winner for everyone. On remix duty is another Get Physical and Love Triangle artist 'Voltique'. DJ Joxe and Sebastian Silber brand their own mark on the original by introducing a stomping bassline, and utilising the melody to full effect.

Dr. Lektroluv "Live At Pukkelpop 2008 Sampler" (LLCD4D)
1: Dance In Dark
2: My Condition
3: Mars
4: Beat Bang
5: Movin It Over Here
6: Star Guitar
7: Naked Jack
8: Poltergeist

After the successful mix CDs recorded live at Extrema and Rock Werchter, this time the extremely popular green masked Dr. Lektroluv offers you a recording of his set at the Pukkelpop festival on the 16th of August as the masked man of electro-funk closed the dance stage. Hot off the press you can expect the fattest electro cuts from the hottest names around as the likes of Busy P, Jacknife Lee, Fischerspooner, The Count of Monte Cristal, Moby, Digitalism, Mr. Magnetik, SebastiAn and Alex Gopher go toe-to-toe on the dancefloor.

The mysterious Dr. Lektroluv this time comes live from the Pukkelpop Festival. This three day Belgian festival saw 210 acts playing to 152,000 people over 3 days, a huge development from 1985’s first event that had 7 bands including The Neon Judgement and Front 242. Over the years Pukkelpop has developed into one of the world’s most recognised music festivals, growing from 1 day to 3 days and witnessing thousands of live acts over the years from the likes of Sonic Youth, Wire, Iggy Pop, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, The Verve, Pavement, Radiohead, Guns N Roses, Foo Fighters, The Prodigy, Metallica, Red Hot Chilli Peppers etc…

Following on from the ‘Live At Extrema Outdoor 2006’ and last year’s ‘Live at Rock Werchter’ mix comes a new slice of electro fun that pitches today’s current players with a sprinkling of brilliant old school classics. The good Doctor certainly knows how to rock the crowd as Mr. Magnetik’s galvanized breaks segue into Machines Don’t Care, Fischerspooner’s electro evangalism gets re-rubbed by D.I.M. and the unstoppable pairing of ‘fidget house’ kings Herve and Sinden as the Count of Monte Cristal has seen their ‘My Condition’ become an instant classic. From Ed Banger stalwarts Busy P and SebastiAn and Digitalism we get the sound of France’s electronic legacy whilst Moby and John Acquaviva show us that old techno dogs can still learn new tricks. From classic punk from the Subs to Williams shiny new electro-house stylings and Alex Gopher’s house take on electronics it’s all there, live and in the mix.

Fusing angular rhythms, sleazy vocals, old and new, Dr. Lektroluv provides yet another vibrant selection for electro lovers everywhere. This time it’s Pukkelpop’s turn to go green…

The Subs "Papillon" (LL13D)

All tracks on the LIVIN IN A SICK, PSYCHO MAD WORLD ep can easily compete with the previous one. We don't know how he does it, but Michoacan is one of a kind, that's for sure. Keep an eye on him!!
