More than thirty years after The Neon Judgement first released “TV Treated”, the song has reached a truly legendary status. Sadly, one might add, its message is more relevant than ever today: you don’t even need to be a conspiracy theorist to see that the shining eye is inherently evil. Small wonder, then, that illustrious DJ’s like Helmut Josef Geier aka DJ Hell, the Berlin-based electroclash pioneer, and the multi-talented Jimmy Edgar from Detroit, stateside’s techno capital, were only too happy to add their names to the long list of artists who had previously created remixes of a track that has stood the test of time in defiance of every rule of commerciality. In the beginning of 2008 those two words stopped being just random: "Sound Of Stereo" saw the light of day. In only a few months time they conquered the hearts of music lovers all over the world. The Belgian scene also responded really well to their presence and they were noticed rather fast by the famous Lektroluv label. Lektroluv is the vinyl spin off from the very successful mix compilation series 'Dr. Lektroluv', of which volume 007 will be released end of April. For this third Lektroluv 12”, the Belgian band Superlux gets the remix treatment by the big boys. The original tracks by Superlux were released on their 2004 album 'Winchester Fanfare', but now for the first time the remixes are available on vinyl. 'Alarm' got a remix by Gigolo boy David Carretta, Lowfish (from Suction Records fame) reworked 'Alison Kirk' and the mighty Detroit Grand Pubahs made their version of 'Babyboo'.
